Agility at IPOC

- IPOC
holds two AKC agility trial weekends each year, in March and November. The
trials are outdoors in various locations.
- United IPOC has three weekends of
indoor agility trials a year at the Center.

- AGILITY CLASS INFORMATION
- 8-week Sessions ($85 per 8-week session)
- Limited Class Sizes
- Proof of Vaccination Required at Start of
each Session
- Prerequisite: Basic
Obedience. Additional Prerequisites for
specific courses listed below.
- Bring Collar, Leads and TREATS!
- Dogs must have good manners and must have a
good recall.

- AGILITY CLASSES
- Level 1 - Beginners are taught on low and modified
equipment for confidence and safety. Dogs and
handlers are introduced to each piece of Agility
equipment.
- Level 2 - Intermediate dogs are handled on and off
leash as they progress in training. Dogs and
handlers begin sequences of equipment and handling dogs
on the left and right.
- Level 3 -
Novice competition level dogs only. Dogs must be
able work off leash and respond to handler commands.
Handlers learn techniques for working at a distance,
front and rear crosses and running full courses. (Class
Size Limit of 12)
- Level 4 - Advanced
competition level dogs only. Dogs must have a title in
Novice level Agility or higher. Handlers work on
techniques for Open and Excellent level competition.

NOTE: The
January 7th - February 25th 2008, Level 4 Agility Class
will be taught by Janneke Case, who represented the USA
at the European Agility Open in Italy, 2007.
