How To Join IPOC

As one Active Adult Member candidate

• Complete one full course from one of our several Training Sessions each year.
• Fill out our Membership Application
  • After a Membership Application is read at a General Membership Meeting, applicants become Associate Members.
• Submit your application with a check payable to IPOC for the application fee.
• Volunteer for three jobs within six months of submitting your application:
• serve as a Steward (table, ring, or gate) at a trial
• sign up to clean the building
• do committee work
• teach classes
• help set up for trials
• that is a brief sample of jobs; there are many others.
• Attend three General Membership Meetings within six months of submitting your application.

As Active Couple candidates

• All the requirements are identical as for only one Active Adult candidate, but couples must volunteer for six jobs with identical time constraints.
• Members of a couple need not each volunteer for three jobs.
• The total number of jobs volunteered for must be six, but who volunteers is not important.
• Any two addends whose sum is 6 will meet the requirement.
• Addends 0 + 6, 1 + 5, 2 + 4, and 3 + 3 are all good because their sum is 6.

Associate Member becomes Active Adult Member

An Associate Member is a candidate for Active Adult Membership, who has not yet completed the requirements for membership, or who has yet to be voted in as an Active Adult Member by the membership.

Membership Dues Rules

• All membership dues must be paid in full by June 1.
• When you miss the June 1 deadline,
  • there is a late fee of $5.00 per month, and
  • there is a grace period until June 30.
• When you miss the grace period, your membership is terminated.
• What may be done when you miss the grace period? You must reapply for membership.
